BACKGROUND In 1993, Shay Scott earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon with an emphasis on real estate, appellate practice, and federal litigation. Prior to law school, in 1987 Mr. Scott received a Bachelor of Music degree in Theory and Composition and piano performance from Arizona State University. He has built and operated several recording studios, published a wide variety of original music, and he continues to both produce and counsel music professionals, artists, small businesses and creative firms.
AREAS OF PRACTICE As a partner at Haglund Kelley Horngren Jones & Wilder, Mr. Scott handles a variety of legal matters, including a broad general and commercial litigation practice, estate planning, business and real estate law, and entertainment matters.

Two of his law review articles regarding federal jurisdiction and environmental claims have been published.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Mr. Scott contributes pro bono services to elderly citizens and children.
