Background
Montana native Michael Neff graduated in 1982 with a B.A. in History from Whitman College, and received his law degree in 1992 from the University of Oregon. Prior to attending law school, Mike was the political writer for the Coeur d’Alene Press and served as Assistant Press Secretary to U.S. Senator Jim McClure of Idaho. While in law school, Mike represented the University of Oregon in the National Moot Court Competition.
Representative Work
Mike negotiated a $25 million United States Forest Service acquisition of timberland in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area on behalf of landowners who suffered severe downsizing as the result of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act.
Mike represented a major international trading company in its successful efforts to site and develop a $200 million grain export facility in Longview, Washington.
Mike served as Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney to Skamania County in the country’s landmark victory over the Columbia River Gorge Commission.
