About The Fried-Durkheimer House

Haglund Kelley is located in the historic Fried-Durkheimer House on Broadway in downtown Portland.  Morris and Annie Marks originally constructed the home in the Italianate style in 1880.  It served as a family home until the early nineteenth century when it became apartments and a boarding house.  In 2017, historic preservationists saved the building from demolition by cutting it in two and moving it through the streets of downtown to its current location.  The house is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
